I’m Katie, a professional German to English translator with over 10 years of experience under my belt.
After completing my MA in Translation in 2010, I trained as an in-house patent translator at an internationally renowned IP law firm in Munich before setting up my own business as a freelance patent translator and proofreader.
I work for patent attorneys and law firms, specialist translation agencies and patent offices.

Including claims, patent specifications, office actions, notices of opposition, appeals, court judgements, prior art documents and licensing agreements.
Due to the diverse nature of IP law I have experience translating texts relating to a wide variety of subject matters, including chemistry and pharmaceuticals, electronics, mechanical engineering and dentistry.

BA in Germanic Studies (First Class) from the University of Sheffield
